Chief Financial Officer

Viola joined Vanqua Bio as the Chief Financial Officer in January 2020, bringing with her over 30 years of financial expertise in the life science industry and beyond. As the head of R&D Finance at AbbVie for ten years, Viola oversaw both the financial and R&D operational aspects of the $4Billion R&D function, guiding process, people and strategies to ensure compliance and optimize risk-reward trade-offs. Previously, Viola served in numerous financial leadership roles across geographies and business units at AbbVie and Abbott Laboratories. She began her career in public accounting at Coopers & Lybrand. Viola has an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago and a bachelor degree from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
